Step 1
Download and install the app from one of the links on this page.
Step 2
Use your Work for Impact login credentials to access the app for the first time.
Step 3
Select your project from the “Select Project” dropdown menu to focus on your specific task.
Step 4
Click “Start” when you're ready to begin tracking your work.
Step 5
Detail your current task in the “Task Description” field to keep a clear record of your work activities.
Step 6
Click “Stop” to pause the timer or end your work session.
The app tracks your work hours and takes random screenshots, which are automatically submitted to your client for review. These screenshots allow clients to monitor your work. They can also be used in payment disputes to prove you've accurately recorded your work.
Why do I have to use the Time Tracking App for my hourly contracts?
The Time Tracking App benefits both you and your clients. For you, it makes tracking and logging your hours extremely easy. It also provides you with insurance that you’ll always be paid. By using the app to track your hours we’ll be able to reimburse you for any completed work your clients won’t pay for. For your clients, it provides them with peace of mind that you’re always using your time wisely. This makes them more willing to hire you if they’ve never worked with you before.
Is it possible to log my hours manually?
Yes, however, your client must agree to this. If not you will have to use the Time Tracking App to track and log your hours. Keep in mind that by logging your hours manually you will no longer be eligible for our payment protection services. If you no longer wish to use the app you can also request to be switched to a fixed-price contract.
Can I delete a screenshot that’s been taken by the app?
Yes. Click the “Manage Work Diary Online” link to be taken to your “My Jobs” page. Here you’ll be able to delete any screenshots that have been taken. However, keep in mind that by deleting a screenshot you will remove that block of time from your log and you will not be paid for it.
My client won’t pay me for work that I logged using the Time Tracking App. What can I do?
If a client refuses to pay you for work that you’ve logged using the time tracking app contact us to report the issue. We’ll review your logs and if we find that you completed the work according to your client’s instructions we’ll pay you for it.
